Inspections/Permits

All inspections are scheduled to be done on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 3 pm, inspections must be scheduled once the online permit has been completed.

All new construction plans (1 – copy with Town Department sign off sheet) must be marked by your electrician before submission to the Dighton Fire Department for review. When dropping off plans make sure to leave a name & number so that we may contact you to pick them up after being reviewed by fire prevention. Plans will be reviewed as soon as possible.

ALL new boiler technicians that are installing for the first time in the Town of Dighton must supply a copy of a valid driver’s license and a Massachusetts Boiler Technicians License when submitting permits.

ANY WORK STARTED PRIOR TO OBTAINING A PERMIT WILL RESULT IN A $50.00 LATE FEE

All permits must be paid by check only and made out to: Town of Dighton. Additional fees shall apply for standby apparatus and manpower when required by the Chief.
$100.00 per apparatus, per hour, with a minimum of 1 hour. Detail rate shall apply for firefighters with a minimum of 4 hours per union contract rate.
